Halo is an information management tool for pet owners. It is not a medical device and does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All information recorded in Halo, including medication details, breathing rate readings, and appointment notes, is for your personal reference only. Always consult a qualified veterinary professional regarding your pet's health. In an emergency, contact your vet or an emergency veterinary service immediately. Never delay seeking veterinary advice because of something you have read or recorded in Halo.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Halo. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.
You are responsible for all data you enter into Halo and for keeping any credentials secure. You must not enter false or misleading information. All pet health data you record is your own and you are responsible for its accuracy.
You agree not to:
All content within Halo, including the app, website design, text, graphics, and code, is owned by or licensed to Marie Jehane Juganaikloo (trading as Jehane Harding) and protected under UK and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including rights to satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose under sections 34 to 36) are preserved and cannot be excluded by these terms.
Beyond those statutory rights, Halo is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from inaccuracies. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of information recorded in the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £50 if no payment has been made).
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss of data, loss of income, or harm to your pet arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (s.31).
Halo runs on Apple's iOS platform and may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those third parties. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or handle warranty claims for Halo.
We aim to keep Halo available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, or modify the Service at any time. Where reasonably practicable we will give advance notice of planned downtime.
You may stop using Halo at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms. Upon termination, your obligations under these terms cease except for any provisions that are intended to survive termination.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Changes will not apply retroactively to prior use.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Your rights as a consumer under the law of your country of residence are unaffected.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions continue in full force.
